Location: Commerce, CA (Onsite, Monday-Friday)
Compensation: $150K-$180K
Employment Type: Direct Hire

An industrial manufacturing company is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the CEO and plays a key part in financial oversight and operational decision-making.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong background in construction accounting, including cost accounting and WIP reporting (required)
• Experience within construction or related industry (required)
• Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
• Stable work history with strong tenure
• Experience with Sage Intacct or Sage 100 highly preferred
• CPA is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting
• Manage cost accounting processes, including WIP tracking, revenue recognition, and margin analysis
• Lead month-end close and ensure accuracy of financial statements
• Drive process improvements and maintain strong internal controls
• Partner with leadership on financial planning and business strategy
• Mentor and support accounting staff in a collaborative team environment
