Position Summary Ledgent Accounting & Finance is seeking a strategic, hands‑on and detail‑driven Controller to join one of our growing construction client’s accounting team near Vernon, CA. This hands‑on role blends construction/project accounting, cost analysis, and strategic financial oversight. Responsibilities Oversee project accounting, including WIP, job costing, progress billings, and revenue recognition Monitor project margins, identify risks, and partner with Operations to improve profitability Lead inventory and cost accounting activities, including labor, materials, and overhead analysis Own month‑end close, financial reporting, and audit readiness Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital planning Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes and systems Lead and develop the accounting team while serving as a key business partner to leadership Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of progressive accounting experience WIP tracking/reporting experience Construction industry experience required Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, and cost/job accounting Proven leadership and ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on CPA license (+) Sage Intacct (+) Salary: USD150,000 - USD175,000 per year.
