Education Manager (Site Director) – Test Prep & Tutoring

Syosset and Manhasset (our main office is at 585 Plandome road, Manhasset, by the LIRR)

Full-time | On-site

$90K-$115k (depending on experience, hours and performance)

Help students succeed—and take on a leadership role in a growing education program. Test Takers is hiring a n Education Manager (Site Directo r) to lead instruction, work with families, and help manage and grow our Syosset and Long Island program.

This is a unique role that combines

• Teaching (SAT/ACT + academic tutoring)
\n
• Student and family advising
\n
• Program and site leadership
\n

You’ll hav e meaningful responsibility, autonomy in your day-to-day work, and a direct impact on the success of your si te, while working closely with a small, experienced leadership tea m.

What You’ll Do:

\n
• Teach SAT classes and tutor students (test prep + academic)
\n
• Adapt to different learning styles
\n
• Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction
\n
• Speak with prospective families and guide them toward the right program
\n
• Help students get started with tutoring and classes
\n
• Build strong relationships that drive retention and referrals
\n
• Manage class schedules and student enrollment
\n
• Coordinate day-to-day logistics and program execution
\n
• Support and mentor tutors
\n
• Contribute to outreach and local growth efforts
\n

What This Role Is Like

• Abou t 20-25 hours/week teachi ng, plus leadership and admin work
\n
• High autonomy in how you manage your responsibilities

• Fast-paced during peak seasons (SAT dates, finals)
\n
• most education managers work noon-830pm Monday through Thursday and Sundays 9am-5pm
\n

What We’re Looking For

\n
• 3+ years full time teaching or tutoring high school students post college
\n
• Strong SAT proficiency in both math and English (required)
\n
• Excellent communication skills, especially with parents
\n
• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
\n
• Someone who takes initiative and follows through
\n
