Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Job Type: PRN | Variable Schedule: 12-hour shifts, PRN as needed. May be day or night shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a), weekends and holidays. Team Overview Join our 12-bed Progressive Care/Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Staff includes RNs, CNAs, and Telemetry Techs providing specialized care for patients primarily diagnosed with respiratory failure and cardiac conditions. Responsibilities Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient Performs timely and accurate QI assessments Benefits Comprehensive Benefits: Multiple levels of medical, dental and vision coverage with medical plans starting at just $10 per pay period, tailored benefit options for part-time and PRN employees, and more. Qualifications Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification required within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision; must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
