As a CNC Deep-Hole Machining Technician, you will transform complex designs into mission-ready parts through expert gundrill operations on UNISIG equipment. Your craftsmanship—and your curiosity—will drive better quality, faster cycles, and less waste.What you’ll ownEnd-to-end responsibility for CNC gundrill setups, operations, and safety compliance.CAM-driven programming and G-code optimization to achieve accuracy, finish, and throughput goals.Interpretation of blueprints and GD&T to plan effective drilling strategies.Metrology excellence: verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMMs; correct deviations proactively.Uptime stewardship: maintain and troubleshoot CNC assets; support companion lathe and milling operations with Fanuc controls.Tooling mastery: select and stage the right drills, guides, and fixturing for plastics and metal workpieces.Quality gatekeeping: conduct in-process audits and final inspections to meet spec every time.Lean leadership: propose and implement process improvements that eliminate waste and reduce variation.Cross-functional support: assist assembly efforts with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other shop tools.Housekeeping and safety: sustain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free environment.What you need to succeedDemonstrated experience with CNC gundrill operations; UNISIG proficiency is highly valued.Strong CNC programming skills (G-code) and practical CAM know-how.Advanced print reading with GD&T application for precision manufacturing.Mechanical aptitude across tooling, fixturing, and machining processes.Nice to have: EDM familiarity.Ability to review models/drawings in SolidWorks or similar CAD.Math proficiency for tolerance calculations and measurement interpretation.Background in diverse manufacturing environments; exposure to plastics injection molding is a plus.Confidence with precision instruments—micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMMs.Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.Preferred: current forklift certification for safe material handling.Team orientation and willingness to contribute using hand tools, power tools, and welding gear.Grow your impactHelp deliver precise components used across a range of industries.
