Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) provides care to patients in a critical environment, handling a variety of emergency cases and working collaboratively with a dynamic team. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, managing care plans, and ensuring safe treatment procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon arrival to the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans as necessary, and document all findings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate effective patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Valid nursing license for North Carolina.
