Building Materials Senior Channel Market Manager

Our client Our client, a major international wholesaler/manufacture in the Building Materials Industry is seeking a Sr. Channel Market Manager to manage and grow relationships with key distribution partners across the United States.

This is a highly field-focused position requiring 70%+ travel throughout the country . The ideal candidate will be a true “road warrior” who is equally comfortable meeting with customer leadership teams as they are spending multiple days in the field traveling with customers' territory managers and sales representatives.

Candidates can live anywhere in the country, however the Midwest or TX region is preferred.

NOTE: This position could occasionally travel Internationally, so a valid passport is required.

This position reports to the Director of Sales and does not have any direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with key national and regional distribution partners.
• Build relationships throughout customer organizations, from executive leadership to field sales teams.
• Develop and execute account plans focused on sales growth, market penetration, and new opportunities.
• Travel extensively with customers' territory managers and sales representatives to support joint sales calls and drive demand for products.
• Conduct product training, demonstrations, and sales presentations.
• Identify opportunities to expand the company’s products into additional branches, markets, and customers.
• Coordinate new product launches and sales initiatives within assigned accounts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales or account management experience within building materials or construction products industry required.
• Experience managing large regional or national accounts.
• Strong relationship-building, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both senior executives and field sales teams.
• Ability and willingness to travel overnight 70%+ of the time.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must have a valid passport.
