Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will make a lasting impact on young learners! This full-time role offers the chance to support elementary students in a dynamic setting. Starting August 11, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027, you’ll play a vital role at one elementary school site (assignment to be confirmed), dedicating 37.5 hours per week to meaningful instruction and individualized student support.

In this position, you will work within one of the following environments: a life skills classroom, an autism-focused learning space, or a behavior support classroom. Collaborating closely with students, families, and educational teams, you’ll help create positive, adaptive learning experiences for children with diverse needs.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) teaching certificate
• Recent experience supporting special education, preferably in life skills, autism, or behavioral classrooms
• Strong commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive environments
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, students, and guardians

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Assess, track, and report student progress toward educational goals
• Adapt materials and teaching strategies to ensure engagement and achievement
• Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports
• Foster a safe, respectful, and constructive classroom community

Please note: Fingerprinting through the Texas Education Agency is required unless recently completed for another public school district. Clearance must be obtained prior to the first day of work.
