Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing various evaluation methods, such as range of motion tests, strength assessments, and functional evaluations to determine the level of impairment and tailor individualized treatment plans.
• Formulate and implement effective treatment plans, collaborating closely with patients to set attainable goals and adjusting these plans according to patient progress and feedback.
• Administer physical therapy techniques safely and effectively, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities like heat, light, and sound therapy.
• Educate patients and their families on self-care, practical exercises, and home programs to ensure continuity of care outside of clinical sessions.
• Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary teams regarding treatment strategies, patient progress, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
• Mentor and oversee the work of rehabilitation support staff, ensuring appropriate delivery of treatment interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. We aim to restore movement and function, enhance physical abilities, and alleviate pain with a focus on patient-centered care tailored to individual needs. You will engage with diverse patient backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent and empathetic approaches to therapy.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions and compassionate guidance to patients and families.
• A clean licensure record with no instances of board actions or disciplinary measures.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and experience in developing tailored exercise regimens for diverse patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and rehabilitation documentation processes.

Compensation and Benefits
