Sales Manager – Chetak New York

About the Role
Chetak New York is looking for a results-driven Sales Manager to lead our regional sales effort. This is a sales growth-and-margin role: you'll own the number, lead a sales team, build and maintain retailer relationships to expand our shelf space and category penetration. Take care of vendor visits and maintain relationships. Success is measured against key metrics like sales growth %, product penetration, maintaining expected margins, and shelf space expansion.

What You'll Do
Sales Growth & Margin
• Drive sales growth while protecting margins — balance aggressive growth with disciplined strategic pricing.
• Develop, strategize, and execute quarterly and annual sales plans.
Team Leadership
• Motivate and guide the sales team, keeping everyone focused on targets and adjusting strategy quickly when needed.
• Conduct regular field/market visits, both individually and with the team.
• Lead regular team meetings to review strategy, celebrate wins, and troubleshoot problem accounts.
Relationship Management
• Build and maintain retailer relationships that drive growth, product placement, shelf space, and product/category penetration.
• Maintain working relationships with vendors.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Collaborate closely with headquarters, aligning execution with corporate strategy and vision.
• Coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Closely coordinate with finance on accounts receivable and retail credit terms.
• Coordinate closely with the ordering team in India to monitor inventory and prevent stockouts or excess/near-expiry issues.

What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree or above (required)
• Proficiency in English and Hindi/Gujarati
• Sales/marketing experience preferred
• Preferred experience managing, coaching, or leading a team
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working with sales data and reporting (Excel proficiency is a plus)
• Willingness to travel

SALARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE

$90,000 - $110,000
