Overview Med Surg RN (Oncology) – Travel assignment in Olympia, WA. Start date: 06/30/2026. Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to adult oncology patients on a Med/Surg telemetry unit.
• Administer medications (including IV therapy), manage peripheral lines, and monitor for adverse effects.
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition; participate in rapid response or code events as needed.
• Implement isolation precautions and PPE per infection control guidelines; maintain safety and comfort for patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work, Rapid Response, Transport, Unit Secretary) to coordinate patient care.
• Document thoroughly in the charting system, update care plans, and support effective discharge planning.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Washington State
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; oncology experience required; 3+ years med-surg experience and prior charge experience preferred
• BLS certification required; OCN preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts with within-pod floating as needed
• Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program; eligible for RN licensure in WA
