Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatment plans, focusing on alleviating pain, preventing disability, and restoring or improving muscle function based on patient diagnoses.
• Conduct thorough evaluations for each client, utilizing advanced diagnostic testing and functional assessments to determine treatment strategies.
• Oversee physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to established care plans and quality of care delivery.
• Develop modifications to therapeutic exercises and treatment regimens based on patient progress and changing clinical conditions.
• Administer manual therapy techniques and provide education about exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to continuously improve client care and participate in the development and updating of care plans.
• Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries meticulously to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
• Engage with clients and their families, offering guidance and support to optimize rehabilitation efforts and promote health literacy.
• Participate in regular professional development and clinical training to stay current on best practices in physical therapy.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Current certification in CPR and Basic Life Support.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
