We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IP Nurse to join our team at Little Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a 106-bed skilled nursing and psychiatric facility located in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. As a key member of our infection prevention team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our residents and staff. About the Role As an IP Nurse, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating infection prevention and control programs to prevent and control the spread of infections. Your key responsibilities will include: Infection Prevention and Control : Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control programs to prevent and control the spread of infections. Surveillance and Monitoring : Conduct surveillance and monitoring of infections, including monitoring of antibiotic use, to identify trends and areas for improvement. Education and Training : Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices, including proper hand hygiene, masking, and disinfection procedures. Quality Improvement : Collaborate with the quality improvement team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them. Compliance : Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control regulations, standards, and guidelines. Requirements Infection Preventionist : Proficiency in infection prevention and control principles and practices. Licensure : Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois. Education : Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field. Experience : One year of experience in infection prevention and control or a related field.
