Travel Physical Therapist - $2,338 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Longwood, Florida. Job Details Location: Longwood, Florida Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week (8-hour shifts) Employment Type: Travel Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy Experience in physical therapy (new graduates accepted) Additional certifications or licenses may be required Role Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. The work setting includes hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. The PT develops personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment safely and maintain calibration. Assess progress, adjust plans, and document interventions in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention. Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control protocols. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions to community or home settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; PC skills required. Physical stamina: remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel, maintain a positive attitude. Technical/motor skills: perform fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures, use equipment.
