Schedule: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) | 10-hour shifts | Variable weekend on-call rotation as required

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique
• Prepare and maintain operating rooms with the instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for each procedure
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of surgical instruments and supplies
• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments in accordance with infection control and hospital safety standards
• Handle medications under the direct supervision of the surgeon or registered nurse
• Participate in department meetings, ongoing training, and performance improvement initiatives
• Foster a collaborative, patient-focused surgical environment committed to quality care

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience or Surgical Technologist certification
• Ability to independently scrub a variety of surgical specialties
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• Knowledge of orthopedic and spine care best practices, including: Musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Pain management Patient mobility and safety Prevention of DVT, infection, and pressure injuries Glucose management Compartment syndrome
