Registered Nurse - PACU

$1591.20/week -

Job Summary:

The PACU Registered Nurse will provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort. This role requires flexibility to work varied shifts and weekends on a 13-week travel assignment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients' vital signs and overall condition upon arrival and throughout recovery.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patients closely for adverse reactions or complications post-surgery.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and provide advanced nursing interventions as needed.
  
  
• 
  Communicate effectively with surgical teams and family members regarding patient status.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to unit policies, ASPAN guidelines, and dress code standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with minimum 1 year of PACU or ICU experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in general, neuro, oncology, orthopedics, and vascular surgical procedures.
  
  
• 
  Capable of managing patient ratios of 1:2 efficiently.
  
  
• 
  Able to work flexible shifts, including nighttime, weekends, and on-call.
  
  
• 
  Enjoy a collaborative, easy-going personality and maintain a professional demeanor.
  
  
• 
  Ability to adapt to state-of-the-art equipment and fast-paced environment.
