School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Antioch, California

Your essential qualifications: Active California OT or COTA license required Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy settings preferred Comfortable working with elementary-aged students with a variety of needs Adaptable to multiple environmentsschools, home health, teletherapy, and healthcare settings Strong communicator (written and verbal) for diverse collaboration with families and educational teams Commitment to excellence and fostering student independence Key responsibilities: Deliver skilled OT assessments, interventions, and individualized education plan (IEP) support for elementary school caseloads Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop tailored strategies enhancing students daily living and academic skills Serve five school sites, traveling between locations as needed within the district Participate in required documentation, meetings, and reporting to monitor progress and compliance Utilize teletherapy platforms as necessary to ensure continuity of services Complete onboarding requirements as required by the district, including signing a contract and possible fingerprinting prior to start This welcoming district values innovative professionals who strive to empower students in their academic journeys.
