Lead Azure Application Support Engineer
Location: Hybrid Local Candidates Only
Duration: Long-Term Contract (24+ Months) Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Lead Azure Application Support Engineer on behalf of our client in [Location] to provide hands-on production support for sophisticated Azure-based enterprise applications. This role focuses on complex technical troubleshooting, incident resolution, application performance, and technical leadership across distributed support teams. The ideal candidate will have strong Azure expertise and the ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple application and infrastructure layers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead investigation and resolution of complex production issues across Azure-based applications.
- Troubleshoot across user interfaces, application services, APIs, integrations, databases, networking, and Azure PaaS environments.
- Utilize Azure Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and KQL to diagnose application performance issues, errors, and unexpected behavior.
- Coordinate major incident response, root cause analysis, and permanent corrective actions.
- Provide technical guidance to distributed onshore and offshore support teams.
- Collaborate with development teams on application changes, releases, production fixes, and readiness.
- Improve application monitoring, support processes, technical documentation, reliability, and team effectiveness.
- Partner with stakeholders to maintain application stability and deliver a strong user experience.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Azure-based enterprise applications in production environments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot across multiple application and infrastructure layers.
- Experience with Azure PaaS services, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and KQL .
- Working knowledge of application performance, APIs, integrations, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience providing technical leadership to distributed support teams.
- Strong incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, ownership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure production environments.
- Experience with Cosmos DB and/or PostgreSQL .
- Experience supporting applications within large, global enterprise environments.
- Exposure to Azure OpenAI, Generative AI, or related AI services .
- Azure certifications.
- ITIL experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Long-term contract opportunity with an expected duration of 24+ months .
- Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite per week (Tuesday Thursday) .
- This is a hands-on technical role focused on application support, troubleshooting, reliability, and technical leadership.
