Santa Clara, CAFinance – Finance /Full-time /On-siteRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Finance to join our growing team. Thishands-on leadership role requires a seasoned professional with 10-15 years of experience,including significant time spent in high-tech start-up environments—preferably with hardwarecompanies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to strategically manage financialoperations while actively engaging in day-to-day finance and accounting processes.As the Director of Finance, you will oversee a small but efficient team, ensuring financial healthand operational excellence. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial strategyand enabling its continued growth.Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Planning:o Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.o Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.o Provide actionable insights to drive business decisions and profitability. Accounting & Reporting:o Oversee accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, and payroll.o Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.o Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements. Operational Excellence:o Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and treasury functions.o Optimize internal financial systems and processes for efficiency and scalability.o Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and execute growth opportunities,including potential M&A activities. Team Leadership:o Mentor and manage a small, high-performing finance and accounting team.o Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Required Qualifications10-15 years of progressive finance experience, with a focus on high-tech start-upsProven track record of success in a senior finance leadership role.Strong expertise in technical accounting, financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting.In-depth knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.Experience managing audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting.Hands-on approach to managing finance and accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.Preferred QualificationsExperience in hardware companies is highly preferred.CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.$180,000 - $230,000 a yearCompensation & BenefitsAt Velaura, we believe exceptional talent deserves exceptional rewards.
