Sr. Systems Engineer

Salary: $93,000 - 133,000 per year Requirements:

• We bring at least 5 years of progressive experience in endpoint engineering, systems administration, or senior IT support in an enterprise setting.
• We have strong hands-on expertise with Windows 11, Microsoft 365 E5, Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune/Autopilot zero-touch deployment workflows.
• We are skilled in using remote support tools and privileged administrative access to resolve advanced endpoint and system issues.
• We understand local network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switches, patch panels, and Wi-Fi access points, so we can work effectively with our remote network architect.
• We have practical experience with SolarWinds or similar enterprise monitoring platforms for performance tracking, alert handling, and health reporting.
• We communicate with care and professionalism, with a proven ability to deliver patient, high-touch support to executive leadership and critical operations staff.
• We are organized and disciplined in documentation, with the ability to create clear SOPs, escalation notes, and site infrastructure diagrams while collaborating across teams.
• We can work full-time onsite in Costa Mesa, CA, and meet client onboarding and background clearance requirements.
• Preferred: We hold Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent certifications.
• Preferred: We have prior experience supporting public utilities, municipal water organizations, critical infrastructure, or high-touch VIP enterprise accounts.
• Physical: We can move throughout office and utility facilities to provide onsite setup, cabling, and technical support.
• Physical: We can lift, move, and position IT equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Physical: We have the manual dexterity to assemble hardware, connect cabling, and use diagnostic tools.
• Physical: We have clear visual acuity and verbal communication skills to support VIP users and analyze technical diagnostics.

• We manage the full device lifecycle using Microsoft Autopilot and Intune, including zero-touch provisioning, profile setup, app deployment, and compliance enforcement.
• We establish secure remote administrative workflows to perform deep operating system, driver, and application remediation on end-user devices.
• We use SolarWinds to monitor network and system performance, respond to alerts, and produce health reports.
• We lead local troubleshooting for switches, patch panels, cabling, VLAN access, and Wi-Fi access points, while partnering with our remote Senior Network Architect to resolve infrastructure issues.
• We support identity and access activities in Entra ID, including group policy application, Conditional Access troubleshooting, and MFA resolution.
• We serve as the senior onsite escalation point for complex endpoint, identity, and system issues across the Costa Mesa facility.
• We partner with remote Chief Architects to test and validate global policies before rollout.
• We deliver premium, white-glove technical support to executive leadership and critical utility operations staff.
• We maintain accurate ticket records, SOPs, local infrastructure diagrams, and knowledge base documentation while following change control, security, and escalation procedures.
