Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for supporting cardiovascular procedures within the catheterization laboratory, ensuring patient safety and optimal workflow during invasive cardiac interventions. This role requires technical expertise and adherence to strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment and sterile field for procedures.
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, PCI, pacemaker, and defibrillator implant procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide peri-procedural care to ensure patient stability.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system.
• Follow unit policies, safety standards, and dress code requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekend coverage.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of clinical practice.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification are mandatory.
• Possess or be eligible for RCIS credential (preferred).
• Demonstrate proficiency with cardiovascular invasive equipment and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
