Machinist
Olive Recruiting is looking for a machinist to work with our client in Milwaukie, OR. The ideal candidate is someone with prior CNC machining using a Mill and/or Lathe in precision manufacturing. Full time, direct hire, 1st shift opportunity, great benefits and growing company!
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture parts using a CNC lathe or Mill
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements
- Be able to start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required
- Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills and lathes
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Fanuc/Mitsubishi controls
- Experience with various metals including aluminum and steel
- Strong math skills, computer skills, and Microsoft Office are a must.
- 3+ years of experience in CNC machining
