Sales Account Manager -- Automotive Parts Manufacturer (35758)

An international automotive component manufacturer in the Livonia, MI area is looking for a Sales Account Manager responsible for managing existing customers and helping to promote business development.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain communication for all business and act as primary customer contact for customer's plants

- Maintain communication with customers' purchasing and engineering contacts

- Maintain company's ability to meet budget and sales targets

- Analyze status of annual sales and progress of mid-term plan

- Manage various functions of customer's portal, including quote and tooling summary

-Execute successful launch of new product line of new business

-Coordinate activities and communicate effectively with parent company in Japan

-Negotiate pricing, cost reduction and payment terms with customers

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales management

- At least 3 years of account management and/or business development

- Experience with automotive OEMs and tiered suppliers as customers

- Prefer Japanese language skills

- Ability to travel up to 25 percent

- Strong communication and organizational skills
