Director Human Resources - Technology

Works closely with business partners to ensure organizational objectives are met through the execution of human resources initiatives. Typically supervises multiple Human Resources Managers who have responsibility for varying functional areas or geographic locations. Key Responsibilities:Partners with management to identify and plan human resources requirements necessary to meet short and long-term business needs.Directs processes designed to identify developmental needs of managers and associates necessary to build a bench to support Home Depot growth.Develops strategy for sourcing and staffing associates for the organizational unit.Counsels and coaches management on employee relations issues.Guides and educates management on effective tools and tactics for avoiding union activityCaptains roll-outs of HR programsMakes judgements and finalizes legal settlements based on risk involvedSelects, develops and motivates assigned staff. Direct Manager/Direct Reports:Reports to a Human Resources Sr DirectorDirect reports typically include 4-10 Human Resource ManagersTravel Requirements:Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Physical Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Working Conditions:Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
