Job MIG Welder Job Overview

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication of steel containers
• Work in a high-volume production environment on 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Mon–Fri)
• Use GMAW processes on an automated conveyor system

• Perform MIG (GMAW) welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Fabricate, repair, and finish steel storage/shipping containers
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Measure, layout, align, and secure parts before welding
• Use hand & power tools (grinders, drills, shears, etc.)
• Monitor welding process to avoid defects (warping, distortion, overheating)
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
• Perform cutting using oxy/acetylene and plasma tools
• Grind, smooth, and finish welded components
• Maintain safety standards and clean work area

• ~5 years MIG welding experience in production/fabrication
• Strong GMAW welding skills
• Ability to pass AWS 4G welding test
• Blueprint reading and measurement skills
• Experience with hand & power tools
• Strong attention to detail and safety

• Experience with steel fabrication and production welding
• Knowledge of multiple welding processes (TIG, FCAW, SMAW, etc.)
• Experience with plasma cutting and oxy/acetylene
• Strong mechanical aptitude in conveyor-based systems

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cherry Hill, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
