The selected candidate will work closely with Dean Dorton team members and client stakeholders to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements. This role is responsible for overseeing financial strategy, improving financial operations, and advising executive leadership on key business decisions. Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategy to ensure long-term sustainability Provide insights on growth opportunities, profitability, and risk management Support long‑term planning, including scenario modeling and forecasting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, and forecasts Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations Accounting, Reporting and Compliance Oversee preparation and review of financial statements Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable standards Evaluate and strengthen internal controls and financial processes Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and workflows Collaborate with accounting and operations teams on budget and efficiency strategies. Stakeholder Communication Present financial insights to leadership, board members, or investors Qualifications Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial leader Exposure to various industries, including manufacturing, construction, healthcare and distribution – a plus. Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial leadership, FP&A, A&F operations oversight, financial department structuring and design, capital strategy, growth strategy. Exceptional leadership and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross‑functional teams. Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in corporate finance is an asset. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degrees (e.g. MBA) or certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are preferred. Compensation $100 per hour – depending on experience This role is a 1099 independent contractor engagement and is not eligible for employee benefits.
