Role Description The Customs Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in El Paso, TX. This role is responsible for coordinating and monitoring import and export activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and internal policies. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing customs documentation, working with Freight forwarders, tracking shipments, and resolving clearance issues in a timely manner. The Customs Specialist collaborates with internal teams and external partners to optimize cross-border logistics, maintain accurate records, and support continuous improvement of customs processes. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in customs-related functions, including Customs Brokerage and coordination with customs authorities and brokers. Strong Import, Export, and Import Export knowledge, with the ability to manage end-to-end cross-border transactions and documentation. Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with clients, internal teams, and external partners. Familiarity with international trade regulations, trade agreements, and customs compliance best practices. Ability to interpret and apply customs laws, tariffs, and classification requirements accurately. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with office and logistics software tools. Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments is beneficial. Relevant education in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. proficiency in Microsoft office.
