Heavy Equipment Technician

We have full-service shops where our Heavy Equipment Technicians and Trailer Techs are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our fleet of transport trucks and trailers. We are currently seeking a Journey person or 2-4 th year Heavy Equipment Mechanic Total Compensation: In addition toverycompetitive rates including shift premiumsfor both licensed and apprentice techs, we offer our apprenticesWAGE CONTINUANCE, including tuition and textbook reimbursement for attendance at technical school. Immediate company-paid health and dental benefits RRSP/DPSP matching program Annual bonus opportunities About the position: Depending on skill level and experience you will be exposed or trained on: Interpreting work orders and technical manuals, performing scheduled preventative maintenance services, diagnosing faults or malfunctions Adjusting equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems on truck and trailers Operating oxy-acetylene torches or perform minor welding repairs (non-code work) Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work done meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated regulations Completing service repair orders and bill out all parts used on repair order Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends External applicants in consideration will adhere to a company-paid pre-employment criminal record search and alcohol and drug screen.
