Kitchen Assistant (Healthcare Setting) – Venice, FL

Pay: $17.00/hour (Helpers)

Schedule: Flexible – Open availability for 1st & 2nd shift

Pay Frequency: Weekly pay + raise after 90 days

We are seeking a dependable and team-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support daily food service operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring patients, staff, and visitors receive safe, nutritious, and properly prepared meals.

• Assist with food preparation for patient meals, cafeteria service, and special requests
• Follow standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and meal schedules
• Support tray line service, ensuring meals are accurate and presented properly
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and food storage
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
• Help with receiving, storing, labeling, and rotating food inventory
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
• Assist cooks and dietary staff with meal setup and service
• Ensure all food is handled and stored according to safety regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations

• Previous kitchen, food service, or dietary aide experience preferred
• Ability to follow recipes and written/verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Venice, FL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
