Business Intelligence Analyst

As an important part of our Business Intelligence and Reporting team, the Business Intelligence Analyst will create and support visualizations, reports, and analysis in an agile, enterprise-level analytics organization that powers self-service and benefits. You will report to the Director, Business Intelligence and use new state-of-the-art big data platforms to provide strategic insights across all areas of Kestra. Our BI team serves at an enterprise level, building common frameworks that support business analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Work to support our business intelligence capabilities in a big data ecosystem that enables governed self-service analytics in an iterative, design-thinking led manner.
• Create specifications for reports and dashboards to support organization-wide or department-level strategic goals. Can represent those requirements using data visualization framework(s) through Tableau dashboards or reports.
• Support a self-service business intelligence environment by developing scalable/automated dashboard solutions to reduce manual work and support self-service in a Tableau environment.
• Work with our users across the organization to adopt existing business intelligence dashboards and self-service functionality.
• Work with Business Intelligence Data Governance team to develop or document data marts, queries, or calculations to support enterprise-wide reporting. When needed, communicates with Data engineering team on data transformation requirements.
• Analyze current Business Intelligence data, processes, and infrastructure to identify data redundancy and make recommendations for data consolidation, standardization, and process improvement, to support our enterprise Data Governance and Master Data Management principles.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree, degree equivalency, or comparable work experience.
• 3+ years of cumulative experience in a data analyst position, or related experience turning data into insights.
• 1+ years' experience designing Tableau reports and dashboards
• Experience using data visualization framework(s) for designing enterprise-level dashboards in a Tableau environment.
• Experience training other users in Tableau, or demonstrating Tableau functionality.
• Proficiency in SQL, equivalent querying language or creating data transformations.
• Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based enterprise data warehouse solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Snowflake) useful
• Experience within an Agile environment useful
• Financial Services experience beneficial.

Certifications

• Tableau certification useful.
