This regional medical center serves as the primary healthcare hub for the surrounding community, offering a full-service emergency department with 22 beds and strong support services including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and radiology available around the clock. The facility operates an open ICU model and includes an active Labor and Delivery department, providing a dynamic and well-supported clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity providing standard solo Emergency Room coverage for 12-hour shifts (7P-7A and 7A-7P)
• 22-bed Emergency Department with an annual patient volume of approximately 32,000 patients
• Daily patient volume of 90-100 patients; physicians typically see 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift
• Coverage model includes 1 physician with 2 mid-level split coverage
• Provider must hold an active NC license or IMLC licensure
• Provider must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS prior to submission
• Board certification required; estimated credentialing timeframe is 14 days
• EMR system: Meditech 6.1
• Hospital-owned apartments provided for physician housing
• Travel costs capped at $500.00

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
