This unit provides an excellent opportunity to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. You will work with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients with conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain-Barre Syndrome. As a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region, the unit frequently sees many acute and complex patients. Utilizing state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology, the team evaluates, diagnoses, and treats seizures. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nursing skills, talents, and compassion for the patient population. Requirements Two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting Current RN License (New York license only) BLS certification (American Heart Association only) Telemetry experience required NIHSS certification Behavioral Characteristics Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Compassionate patient care delivery Join a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare in a supportive environment.
