3D Modeler

About the Role We are looking for motivated and passionate 3D model experts to join our team! As a dynamic 3d video game modeler, you should be a highly artistic person with a passion for creative technologies. You will be responsible for creating high quality 3D models designed for video games. You should enjoy working as part of a team, but have a proactive approach with a hunger to take responsibility on an individual level. Responsibilities Produce high-quality organic and hard surface CG models in line with direction and/or reference material Collaborate with Art Director and other artists to finalize 3D textured models for each project Provide artwork for review at appropriate stages and apply feedback accordingly, with quick turnaround Ensure final 3D assets are technically compliant to the needs of 3D riggers/animators and tech artists, and revise as necessary while still meeting quality standards Ensure the consistency of UV mapping and polygonal subdivisions Communicate with Producers and the Art team to ensure art quality deadlines are met Project, manage, and maintain well-organized working files to facilitate file sharing and collaborative work Manage workload and milestone requirements by following and/or determining task priorities, time estimates, and scope while proactively raising issues to the team as needed Requirements 3+ years practical 3D modeling experience working in interactive media/video game setting (or a strong portfolio equivalent) Ability to interpret and follow reference material to create detailed and accurate models, with a strong know-how on clean topology geometry Highly efficient UV layout and texturing experience Strong problem-solving methodology High work ethics and open-minded attitude with excellent communication skills in English, including the ability to give, receive, and solicit constructive written, verbal feedback. Pluses Overlapping knowledge in Unity’s capabilities and limitations in a 3D context Good grasp of basic skinning/ rigging and/or animation is a huge plus A good understanding of the pipeline for game development Previous experience with other modeling tools (Blender, C4D, etc.) Loves video games and making them!
