Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A hospital-owned retail pharmacy positioned in a tight-knit community is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to oversee daily operations on a 12-week contract basis. Serving approximately 4,000 prescriptions per month, this role offers involvement in a dynamic setting that includes a gift shop and coffee shop, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors.

Location: Buckeye, WV
Schedule:

• 2 days per week (preferably Tuesday and Wednesday; flexibility offered)
• 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM (10-hour shift with 30-minute lunch)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pharmacy technicians and staff pharmacists to ensure efficient daily operations
• Verify and dispense medications while ensuring patient safety and accuracy
• Manage inventory, stock control, and formulary adherence
• Ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations and documentation
• Administer the 340B program and oversee pharmacy billing, claims submission, and reconciliation
• Maintain and utilize electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy systems with provided training
• Participate in workflow optimization and continuous quality improvement efforts
• Administer immunizations as part of patient care services

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and clear West Virginia pharmacist license
• Experience with Pioneer RX software preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred but not required
• Current CPR certification and immunization credentials
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
