Telehealth Technician

STGi is currently seeking a Telehealth Technician to provide services at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic.

The general duty of the Telehealth Technician is to provide telehealth services as well as manage administrative and clinical interactions from the patient and provider location.

Essential functions include performing telehealth imaging, supporting primary telehealth care team in telehealth visits, exercising judgment to perceive patient needs, documenting clinical information, coordinating with primary telehealth care team, staying in room and facilitating the interaction, providing hands on assistance to the provider and patient, making follow up visits, performing a range of direct care duties, and providing general clerical/administrative support coordination work for the facility.

Required experience and skills include knowledge of basic and complex methods for coordinating and scheduling clinical care via telehealth, thorough knowledge of variations in anatomy, knowledge of telehealth technologies, two years of current clinical experience working in a similar environment, ability to follow orders and work under close supervision, ability to provide educational material to patients and/or families, knowledge of the concepts of customer service technique related to population, effective verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of computer functions and electronic medical records, exceptional diplomatic communication skills, experience in handling difficult customer situations, and ability to multi-task.

Required education includes retaining current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN), LPN/LVN from an accredited nursing school OR certificate of completion from an approved medical assistant training program, and current and unrestricted nursing license in Pennsylvania or medical assistant certificate.

Working conditions/physical requirements include moderate physical activity, handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four hours per day, work performed in a typical interior/office work environment, and required to respond to any medical emergency within the clinic.
