Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provide expert nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a high-risk environment, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care during critical stages of childbirth.

Responsibilities:

• Implement comprehensive nursing interventions for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients, adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, managing high-risk antepartum cases with precision and urgency.
• Educate patients and their families on childbirth processes, postpartum care, and recovery, fostering understanding and comfort.
• Collaborate with physicians, doulas, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans and respond to emergencies.
• Document all clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in compliance with regulations.
• Float across departments including L&D, circulator, baby RN, triage, and high-risk antepartum, adapting to various clinical settings as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience, including high-risk antepartum care.
• Valid California RN license in good standing at the time of submission.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Experience in teaching hospitals and handling high-risk pregnancies preferred.
• Must have flu vaccination during flu season without exemptions.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and take on-call duties as required.
