An established healthcare facility is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical services during evening shifts. This contract opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with strong experience in hospital settings, particularly those familiar with large, academic hospitals and proficient in Epic systems.
Location: Mason, OH
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks with potential extension)
Schedule:
Evening shifts
Options include 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts
Training conducted during day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders, including sterile compounding and dose checking
Oversee sterile compounding processes and ensure accuracy in preparation
Manage medication dispensing via Pyxis systems
Provide expert consultation to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medications
Support specialized clinical areas including IV room, ECMO, and CRRT
Conduct antibiotic dosing and medication-related consults
Maintain compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and procedures
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Must hold a valid Ohio state pharmacist license
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a hospital pharmacist, preferably within a large academic hospital setting
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record software
Strong knowledge and practical experience with sterile compounding oversight
Familiarity with advanced critical care practices such as ECMO and CRRT
Additional Details:
Interviews preferably conducted in person; video interviews available upon request
