Payroll Manager

HireneXus has partnered with an established commercial finance company to recruit a Payroll Manager for its Charlotte, NC office. This position offers visibility and interaction with senior leadership, along with opportunities for career advancement. The ideal candidate will be a payroll specialist with experience owning the entire payroll process. This role is fully responsible for managing all payroll related activities as a department of one. Position Responsibilities Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time Process salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other payroll deductions Manage payroll updates related to new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and employee status changes Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records, reports, and supporting documentation Conduct final reviews of new-hire, status-change, and termination files as part of established payroll controls Track employee leave as it relates to payroll Process stock vesting and grants as they relate to payroll Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and applicable best practices Support internal and external audits by providing requested payroll records and documentation Perform additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field Three to five years of relevant payroll experience Strong understanding of payroll processes, controls, and regulatory compliance Excellent accuracy, organization, and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential employee and compensation information professionally #J-18808-Ljbffr
