Manager - Accounts Payable

As a Manager - Accounts Payable, you will manage all activities in the accounts payable function. You will ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports. You will review applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy. You will manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. You will ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.Responsibilities:Executes payments to vendorsEnsures compliance with corporate and governmental policies and procedures in relation to accounts payable Designs and executes controls over business processes to ensure proper execution and reporting.Manages and develops staffDevelops and promotes culture of continuous improvementPrepares schedules and reports, including accounts payable data and metricsQualifications:Bachelors’ Degree in Business, finance, or accounting. or related requiredProgressive accounting - 3 years required; 6 years preferredPrevious supervisory of both exempt and non-exempt staff - 1 year required; 3 years preferredFixed asset accounting - 1 year preferredOracle or other large integrated financial system - 3 years preferredAccounts payable or other transaction heavy accounting function - 3 years preferredGeneral systems aptitudeStrong communication skillsStrong problem solving skillsProficiency using Microsoft Office products, especially ExcelAbility to deal effectively with vendors and outside agenciesAbility to work under tight time schedules and handle multiple tasks#LI-RA1This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
