Linux Systems Administrator – Engineering Compute Support Compensation

• The pay for this position is $41.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Linux Systems Administrator – Engineering Compute Support Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

Linux Systems Administrator – Engineering Compute Support Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and upgrade Linux hardware and software systems supporting engineering design environments
• Provide server support for engineering compute infrastructure
• Manage user access controls and system permissions
• Monitor system usage, performance, and system health
• Identify and resolve potential system issues proactively
• Provide escalation support for Linux/Unix infrastructure technologies
• Provision physical and virtual systems
• Develop and maintain automation using Puppet
• Write and maintain scripts using Python, shell scripting, and related tools
• Implement system enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and uptime
• Promote and enforce environment standards to reduce complexity
• Train engineering users on system tools and processes
• Collaborate closely with engineering design teams

Linux Systems Administrator – Engineering Compute Support Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Linux Systems Administration or Engineering Support
• Experience supporting engineering or high-performance compute environments
• Strong scripting experience (Python, Shell, or similar)
• Experience with Puppet configuration management
• Experience with system provisioning (physical and virtual systems)
• Strong troubleshooting and escalation skills
• Ability to monitor and manage system performance and health
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Linux Systems Administrator – Engineering Compute Support Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor, engineering design, or HPC environments
• Strong automation and infrastructure optimization mindset
• Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools
• Experience working in large-scale Linux compute environments
