Salary Range: $32 - $37/Hour on W2 (All inclusive)

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Linux Systems Engineer to join our team for a 6-month onsite role. As a Linux Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting enterprise RedHat Unix/Linux solutions, ensuring system reliability, and providing excellent customer service.

Required Skills & Qualifications

At least 3-5 years of experience managing enterprise RedHat Unix/Linux solutions, preferably large scale.
Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.).
Deep knowledge and experience supporting RHEL 8 & 9.
Proficient with LDAP configuration and management.
Experience with virtualization.
Hands-on experience with computer hardware maintenance.
Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Strong drive for continuous improvement.
In-depth knowledge of Redhat Kickstart and configuration management tools (puppet preferred).
Proven skills in automating systems services and tasks to streamline service and ensure consistency.
Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
Experience supporting servers in the cloud preferred.
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal).
Strong skills in decision-making, prioritization, and negotiation.
Passion and accountability for the environment you will be responsible for.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based server support.
Familiarity with additional configuration management tools.
Experience in a similar industry or environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Manage and support RedHat Unix/Linux solutions.
Perform system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Automate system services and tasks for consistency.
Collaborate with team members to improve system reliability.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
