Screening Sales Representative - Washington, DC

A Screening Solutions Specialist (SSS) is a front-line position in the fight against cancer. The SSS will drive product growth of Cologuard in medical practices to meet sales goals within the assigned geography and deliver diagnostic solutions by establishing the importance of Colorectal Cancer (CRC) diseases and screening. This role aims to enhance customer relationships to drive growth and revenue while enhancing the system of care and deliver improved patient outcomes through integration of Exact Science’s solutions. This position is field based within the territory of Washington, DC and Arlington. Essential Duties Generate deep insight into local healthcare ecosystems and market landscape to identify opportunities to enhance the system of care and deliver improved patient outcomes through integration of Exact Science’s solutions. Analyze the treatment journey across the local system of care to identify account opportunities to work with HCPs to improve clinical decision making and deliver better patient and population health outcomes. Build a network of relationships within accounts in order to gain insight into system, customer and patient unmet needs, including clinical stakeholders and administrators. Synthesize data from a range of formal and informal sources to understand the evolving and dynamic local care system. Develop and implement business and account plans to increase visibility and maximize opportunities and sales growth. Create business and account plans based on opportunities to drive acceptance of Cologuard and other Exact Sciences solutions. Leverage cross-functional collaboration with Screening Advocate, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to devise and implement customer-specific engagement approaches. Inform, educate and enable target physician and stakeholder groups about Exact Sciences products and value propositions. Proactively drive business growth by focusing on high-potential customers and uncovering unmet needs. Lead the implementation of account plans through collaboration with key internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategies, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve patient outcomes. Deliver an engaging customer experience with the highest ethical and professional standards, consistent with Exact Sciences guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and organizational ability. Maintain regular attendance and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures. Work nights, weekends, or on a mobile device as needed; travel locally or overnight within the territory. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or related field or 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree. 2+ years of previous sales, inside sales, or account management experience OR 1+ years of sales experience plus 1+ years in a healthcare setting OR Completion of active-duty military service as a Junior Officer or above. Valid driver's license with no suspended or revoked status. No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents within the last 36 months. No alcohol or drug event involving vehicle operation within the last 36 months. No other Motor Vehicle Report results that expose Exact Sciences to unacceptable liability. Ability to meet healthcare facilities' access requirements (e.g., vaccination, mask). Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation. Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience in sales of medical devices or diagnostics. Experience working with primary care physicians. Background in commission-based product sales. Expertise in computer technology specific to sales. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and CRM tools. Strong listening, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a complex and ambiguous environment. Ability to create value through new processes and concepts. Team player with independent workload management. Fast-paced, multi-tasking, entrepreneurial mindset. Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 (annual base salary for position located in Washington, DC. Position is bonus eligible.)
