The Youth Care Worker is an energetic self-starter who works to demonstrate care and compassion to children and families, regardless of their responses. Our residential and community-based service programs have evolved over the years; however our commitment to creating miracles in the lives of our clients have never changed. The Youth Care Worker Position at Miracle Houses Inc is expected to:Role model and mentor youth in a positive and professional Work cooperatively with other team members throughout the agencyLead enriching group discussions and recreational activities for youthMaintain up to date and accurate documentation of client activitiesEducational RequirementsBachelor 's degree in Human Services or related field preferredMinimum of two years population specific experience working with children ages 6-17 is preferredPhysical RequirementsThere may be regular contact with clients who demonstrate challenging behavior. Therefore, the incumbent should maintain sufficient physical agility to rapidly extricate themselves and clients from building in case of emergency.Additional RequirementsThe incumbent must be teachable and willing to learn. Must have a valid NC driver's license with a good driving record.
