Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a hospital in West Virginia, requiring at least 2 years of experience and telemetry familiarity on a night shift schedule.

Details

• 34-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry capabilities
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30, available as 4x12 or 3x12
• Weekday and weekend shifts required (3 weekends per 4-week schedule/period)
• Patient ratios of 1:5–7
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are not provided by the facility
• Attendance is taken seriously — candidates should be aware that excessive call-offs are not tolerated, with a maximum of 2–3 per contract
