Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and 1-2 years of experience to support outpatient and inpatient/ER imaging.

Split shifts covering outpatient imaging for half the day and inpatient/ER support at the hospital for the remainder.

Day shift schedule with 4x8 hour shifts and weekend 2x16 hour shifts (Saturday and Sunday 7:30 AM-12 AM).

Supports adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/trauma settings.

Performs imaging including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and special imaging procedures such as MRCP, MRA, MRV, diffusion, and perfusion studies.

Uses Philips and GE MRI equipment.

Epic EMR experience preferred.

ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; ARRT (R) preferred but not required if ARRT (MR) is held.

BLS certification required.

1-2 years of MRI technologist experience preferred.

Trauma Level I and II experience preferred.

Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and peripheral IV starts.

License required if applicable.

Performs a wide range of MRI procedures across musculoskeletal, neurological, abdominal, and special imaging categories.

Facility conducts a mandatory onsite drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation.

Candidates should avoid any products that could cause a positive drug screen result, including CBD products.

Must live within 50 miles of the facility and local candidates are not accepted.

First-time travelers may be considered.
