Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Contract paraprofessional opportunities are opening for the current school year’s final weeks and extending through the upcoming ESY session in June, as well as the new school year starting in August. Flexible, dedicated individuals seeking to support students with special needs across elementary, middle, and high schools are encouraged to apply.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings, including special education (SPED) classrooms
• Comfortable assisting with toileting/changing and managing student behaviors
• Ability to provide both 1:1 and general classroom support as needed
• Flexibility to float between elementary, middle, or high school assignments
• Valid Substitute Certification listed as active on the Missouri DESE website (check at:
• Willingness to complete district-required fingerprinting (cost: $45)
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist students in their academic and social development under teacher guidance
• Support instructional activities in both SPED and general education classrooms
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Provide personal care and behavioral support as assigned
• Collaborate with educators and therapists to facilitate student success
• Adapt quickly to changing assignments and meet classroom needs throughout the district
