Senior Financial Analyst

LHH is partnering with a growing, dynamic manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Silver Spring, MD. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with operations to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making. Position Overview The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on supporting manufacturing operations. This individual will work cross-functionally to provide insights into cost structures, improve forecasting accuracy, and support leadership with data-driven recommendations. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and forecasting processes Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and operational performance metrics Partner with plant leadership and operations teams to drive cost efficiencies and margin improvement Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis to senior leadership Support budgeting process, including expense and capital planning Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights on trends and performance Assist with inventory analysis, standard costing, and cost accounting processes Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within FP&A Support ad hoc financial modeling and strategic initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 4–7+ years of progressive financial analysis experience Prior experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and operational finance Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders Self-starter with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting plant or operations teams Exposure to standard costing and variance analysis Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Silver Spring, MD Competitive salary up to $105,000 401(k) with company match Generous PTO and paid holidays If interested in this role, please apply directly.
