Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fabrication operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Train, mentor, and supervise a team of fabricators, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Perform complex fabrication tasks, including welding, cutting, and shaping, utilizing various tools and machinery.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes and ensure accuracy.
• Conduct quality inspections of fabricated components and assemblies, identifying and resolving non-conformities.
• Manage material inventory for fabrication, ensuring availability and optimizing usage to minimize waste.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the fabrication area.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, STICK) and metal forming processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor a team of skilled fabricators.
• Experience with quality control processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with robotic welding or automation in fabrication.
• CAD/CAM proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior fabricators or apprentices.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
