Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train fabrication team members on best practices and safety protocols.
• Oversee daily fabrication operations to ensure timely completion and quality control.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide production.
• Operate and maintain various fabrication equipment, including welders, plasma cutters, and press brakes.
• Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and consumables, placing orders as needed.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize fabrication processes and resolve issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of various fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, STICK), cutting (plasma, laser, saw), forming (bending, rolling), and finishing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor a team of skilled fabricators.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and quality control standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inventory management and optimizing material usage.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems for production planning and inventory management.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for reviewing designs.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated application of lean principles.
• OSHA 30-hour certification for general industry.
• Forklift operator certification.
