Maintenance Technician

This person will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery. This is a light maintenance position in a clean and quiet factory environment. Responsibilities Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment. Create requisitions of equipment and supplies to maintain equipment. Ability to make welding repairs. General maintenance of building and grounds. Assist with set-up of basic fabrication equipment. Properly guard all equipment and report all safety concerns to Director of Operations. If unable to perform necessary repairs or installation, must coordinate getting quotes from outside contractors and supervise/manage the work being done by contractors. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Operations Requirements High School Diploma or GED Required or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience Some electrical knowledge is required. Hydraulics and pneumatics experience a plus. Ability to read and understand schematics, pneumatic, and electrical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills Basic understanding of manufacturing processes. Ability to frequently handle material and work with tools from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, shoulder-to-overhead and pushing/pulling/carrying. Use of motor skills to safely drive a fork lift or other motorized vehicles in tight quarters.
